ROUNDING UP 5TH SEMINAR (SLOVENIA)

In the years 2012 to 2014 the 5th generation of participants took part in the seminar of gestalt pedagogy. The seminar was carried out by Institut für Integrative Gestaltpädagogik und Seelsorge (IIGS) and Društvo za krščansko geštalt pedagogiko (DKGP).

The conluding session took place in February 2014. The title was telling: The sources of my liveliness – resources for life. We were uncovering the items found in our own ark of covenant and 'sifted' the competencies developed in the course of the seminar.

During the final service (February 9th), 28 participants received their certificates of completing the seminar which was conducted by ddr. Stanko Gerjolj, dr. Franz Feiner, Miriam Stanonik, dr. Janez Vodičar, dr. Alfons Žibert and Ana Rožman.

Some of the peaks of the two-year period were definitely the 'tunnel', visiting the Carthusian monastery in Žiče, personal encounters with Jesus, working with the body; the passion and death of Jesus, taking a closer look at our relationships ... In the course of the seminar we found ourselves addressing issues that came up spontaneously: the meaning of life, our passing and death. Life itself confronted us with stories that deeply touched the group as well as each individual. We experienced how priceless in hard times is the religious dimension of life and being connected with people around you.

From one session to another the group made significant progress in inner connectedness and sensibility. This showed in the fact that every time we were about to get together again, we were looking forward to it more keenly. The evening entertaining programme conducted by the participants on the very last night further strengthened the sense of community between us.

A plan for future work has been made. The 6th generation seminar is scheduled to begin in the end of 2014 and finish in 2016.
